This information about us will help you analyze our client friendly service attributes:

Management Fees - Stalcup Ag Service has a unique management fee that deducts crop expenses before fee is calculated on all share leases and custom arrangements. This fairly accounts for the increasing cost of farm inputs and provides incentive to control expenses. Most companies charge fee on gross income.

This management fee system separates Stalcup Ag Service from other companies.

Manager's Qualifications - Stalcup Ag Service managers are all accredited by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. The Accredited Farm Manager title is achieved by successfully completing seven schools and passing a rigorous two day exam.

Only experienced farm managers with above average skills can pass the AFM exam. The AFM title is peer recognition of a manager's professional skills.

Company Headquarters Location - Stalcup Ag Service is located in Storm Lake in the heart of our management territory. We have one office to manage, allowing our managers more time to concentrate on agricultural issues.

Our managers know every facet of Northwest Iowa agriculture. Management procedures are designed for this area, not several states.

Company Ownership, Structure - Stalcup Ag Service is owned by the farm managers who work there. Managers with vested interest in the future of the company provide continuity and are more responsive to you than employees of large corporations.

Client/Manager - Stalcup managers work directly with their clients. There are no middle level intervening managers. When getting acquainted with the company, deal with the prospective manager, not a sales executive. The sales executive can promise anything, but the manager has to deliver.

If a manager is not available for any reason, we have backup management available. Also, each manager has an assistant who handles all transactions and correspondence. This produces a knowledgeable office staff who knows you and your farm.

Financial Reports - Stalcup clients receive quarterly reports, which include:

Operating statement showing year-to-date and last period transactions in the form of a profit and loss statement and bank balance summary.
Journal showing each income and expense transaction.
Grain inventory report.

These reports are easy to understand and have been complimented by many accountants.

Checking accounts - Individual farm operating accounts are available at special terms arranged with a local bank; no fees, no minimum balance, and funds earn near money market rates.
Summary - If you are considering farm management, ask the questions a pro would ask. Look us over closely. You'll find a unique, employee-owned farm management company close to your farm with ag professionals dedicated to your satisfaction.
