Comments: |
| A very wet week in our area on top of already wet soils has reduced the yield potential of this years crop. Many low areas of soybean fields have water standing, drowning out the crop. The damage is not as evident in the corn yet, but the saturated areas will begin turning yellow soon, showing a lack of nitrogen as it is leached out of the soil in the wettest areas. on the better drained portions of the fields the crops look very good, but unfortunatly will not likely be able to make up for the flooded portions. |
