| Commodity prices fell yesterday Oct 26 from the fall season's high. Prices continue to be better than August and September prices but have taken a step back from earlier this month, mostly due to warmer and drier conditions. The dollar also has increased the last two days pushing prices lower. Farmers are out in the fields everywhere you look now that sun shine has decided to visit Iowa. Three or four more days will get most farmers close to finished harvesting the soybeans. The weather forecast is calling for rain this Wednesday night so today and tomorrow are crucial for farmers to get as much done as possible. Soybean yields are anywhere from 40 to 60 bu/ac and the little amount of corn that has been harvested is well over 200 on good quality ground. |
