| Soybean harvest is getting closer to being finished. Around 70 to 90% of soybeans are done when on a normal year it would be 95 to 100%. Some farmers that are done with soybeans are switching to corn but it is a slow process. The corn is very wet and elevators are taking as much as they can dry and that is it. Farmers are combining enough to get their bins full to dry the grain down but then they must wait until the corn is dry before they can move it to town or other bins to start the process over again. A slow harvest causes a rush to get fall field work done. If field work does not get done this fall it will have to be done this spring. |
