| The grain markets took a beating today(5/28) due to news from the International Monetary Fund that Europe is no where near figuring their financial problems out. Other factors playing a major role in the markets is a large South American soybean crop, the strong US dollar, good crop progress, and increase import activity/talk from China. The weather has been beautiful with 1 1/2 weeks of warm temperatures and isolated showers to fuel the growth of crops. We have good stands and plant health which should lead us into summer with better than average expections for crop production. Enjoy your memorial day weekend. |
