Comments:

Rain, rain, and more rain has halted all spraying progress over the last 7 to 10 days. Most corn is getting too tall to spray due to all the warm and wet weather we have had. Surface ponds are starting to pop up on the low ground and some soybeans are becoming yellow due to overly saturated soils. Once dry weather arrives farmers will be back to spraying as many acres as they can. The market has rallied with news of lower ending stocks due to increased demand for ethanol and exports. Chinas powerful economy continues to offset the poor news from the worlds economy. Also the poor weather news has played a factor in the last couple of days with concerns of flooding, helping to lift the markets. Mother nature is the one deciding factor that we have no control over, keeping us wondering how this crop season will turn out.
