Comments: |
| Dry weather has moved into the area and allowed farmers to finish up spraying soybeans. Recent heavy rainfalls have dropped 10 to 15 inches in the last 3 to 4 weeks causing flooding in low lying areas. Another week of dry weather will help to drain excess standing water. The markets have rebounded with some bullish news from the USDA Crop Acreage and Conditions report that stated lower planted acres than estimated previously and lower ending stocks than estimated for corn. An increase in demand also showed up from low 2009 crop test weights that finally hit the supply and demand chain. |
