Comments:

October weather statistics were one for the book! Most weather stations reported the wettest or 2nd wettest October on record, some smashing the old record. Temps 7 degrees below normal; measurable precip 24 of 31 days. It's a wonder as much is harvested as is with those "drying" conditions! Some mold is present in standing corn, others have weak stalks. A good stretch of weather is much needed; however, corn harvest cannot help but be slow due to the amount of time-consuming handling and drying required of this crop. Many beans yet to be harvested, an amazing amount for this time of year. DR
