Comments:

After a harsh winter the spring has shaped up to be one of the best in years. Planting conditions are optimum and light rainfall has been timely. Corn was planted in record time and many people are looking to plant soybeans as the risk of frost lowers. Markets have had no definite rally this spring until recently. Demand has increased for corn due to Chinas need to feed livestock. A stronger dollar has kept prices lower than normal, not allowing any large increases in the market. Weather, the dollar, and exports will play a major role on commodity prices as we head into fall.
