Comments:

The crops are suffering on the low ground due to excess soil moisture. Yellow coloration from a lack of oxygen is a common problem as you drive across the countryside. Large surface ponds occupy most of the low lying areas with no fast way to drain. Average yields will be lower because of all the drowned out spots and stunted crops. The corn and soybean markets have dropped since highs posted last week. Mostly due to commodity trader's thoughts of "Rain makes Grain", which in our case this year is rain causes flooding. Also poor US economic news has played a role in lowing prices. Todays price increase comes from a weakened US dollar.
