The crops are growing very quickly right now. T hey generally look good, but could use a nice rain. Temperatures started to heat up, and all of a sudden we went from needing to dry out to wanting more rain.

The light sandy soils are already showing stress on the hot days this week. Also the corn may have poorly developed roots from the wet spring making it more vulnerable to hot and dry.

The markets are bouncing back due to the drier weather outlook and increased exports of corn and soybeans.
